Our Spiritual Advisor Father Simon Tipps, Parochial Vicar, St. Maximilian Kolbe Roman Catholic Parish, joined Father Richard Heilman and Doug Barry on the US Grace Force podcast Monday, October 27. They discussed the “rebirth” of Durward’s Glen as a Catholic destination and what we can look forward to in the future.
We launched our support group, Guardians of the Glen, with a wonderful brunch November 15. Our donors and volunteers have a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve. Every dollar (tax-deductible and matched up to $100,000) helps us fund critical programs, and every hour of service brings us closer to our mission. Would YOU be one of them? Call (608) 356-8113. THANK YOU!!
Three-day women’s retreat, “Knowing Your Identity as a Beloved,” by the Holy Family Healing Retreat Center. For questions/registration call Donna at 608-477-0765 or go to www.holyfamilyhealing.org
Three-day silent men’s retreat, “Heaven’s Weapon,” led by Fr. Simon Tipps, Parochial Vicar, St. Maximilian Kolbe Roman Catholic Parish. A men’s retreat focused on helping men develop a deep personal relationship with Jesus through Mary. To do this, we will focus on how, through the Holy Rosary, Mary builds and maintains our life of prayer and destroys sin. For questions/registration call Durward’s Glen 608-365-8113.
Heaven’s Weapon
Fr. Simon Tipps is a priest of the Diocese of Madison currently assigned to St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish. Originally from the Green Bay area, Fr. Tipps’ parents worked at the Shrine of Our Lady of Champion for 25 years. He grew up spending most of his time there serving Holy Mass, giving tours, and assisting with work in the gift shop. After being homeschooled for twelve years, he graduated high school at age 16 and attended the University of Wisconsin Green Bay for two years studying business administration. At age 18, he transferred to the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN pursuing the same degree. The following year he entered St. John Vianney Minor Seminary in St. Paul MN, graduating with a degree in Philosophy in 2019. He continued his priestly formation in Milwaukee at St. Francis de Sales Major Seminary and was ordained a priest in May of 2023. Fr. Tipps seeks to help others develop a deep love for Jesus in The Most Blessed Sacrament and know the power of The Virgin Mary, especially through The Holy Rosary.
